The Company history

Cornish Bakehouse Company history | Ferret the baker and his pasty van.Cornish Bakehouse Limited aims at offering a range of pasties and other bake-off products that are of a superior quality.

The Company was founded in St. Ives in 1996 by Tim Symons and has expanded to include shops in Bath, Bournmouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Looe, Swindon, and Worcester.

In 2003, the Company and several London-based partners started Cornish Bakehouse (London) Limited, with the intention of expanding the reach of the brand. It opened its first store on James Street, Covent Garden, in November 2003. Having established that the product also exerted a wide appeal for Londoners, who are eager to eat on the move but rarely find a snack as satisfying and nutritious as the pasty. The success of the brand prompted the opening of two more shops in the 12 months that followed.

Now the company is on the verge of expanding still further and is seeking to bring the traditional wholesome taste of Cornwall to even more of the capital’s busy workers, tourists and residents.
